In this project M. Fityan meets the duo ZIA, with Marcus Rust playing the trumpet and Christian Grosch playing the organ. Together they embark upon a spiritual as well as musical journey tracing traditional Arabic and Christian melodies. The Arabic and Christian tradition builds the basis for their musical expedition, which joins tradition with Western and Arabic improvisation. The three musicians want to achieve a combination of their different musical backgrounds and create a new sound. Their search for new melodies is in a way a search for the sound of the world of today. Their journey takes them to the Lebanese Maronites, over the Egyptian Copts to the Christian communities in Palestine, Jordan and Syria.
